The Kingston Gallery, Boston is calling for new work for an exhibition entitled “Gray Area”. We are looking for artists whose work is relevant to our current contemporary world in its lack of clarity or abundance of ambiguity. The subject is open to interpretation, and can address the title conceptually or formally.

All media will be considered. Submission by online jpegs. Submission is by online jpegs that should not exceed 1200 pixels in the longest dimension and should not exceed 5MB.Selected artwork must be dropped off and picked up at the gallery; no shipping. The gallery is not responsible for damage to artwork that is poorly displayed or damaged in transit.
The fee is $35 for up to 5 images.
All 2D work should be ready to hang, and works on paper must be framed. Artists are responsible for the display of digital media (monitors, etc) and 3D work must include a list of needs such as pedestals, mounts, etc. There is no minimum size requirement, but once installed, work may not exceed 6 feet in height. The gallery will take a 50% commission. Artwork must represent the jpgs submitted online, and, if framed, look professional: i.e., no clip frames. A maximum of 5 entries per artist may be submitted for consideration.
Juried by a committee of 6 Kingston Gallery Artists: Mira Cantor, Susan Emmerson, Julie S. Graham, Veronica A. Perez, Jamal Thorne, and Chantal Zakari.
ONLINE SUBMISSION DEADLINE: Wednesday, November 22nd, 2017 @ 5PM.
Notification: Friday, December 15th, 2017 (by email).
Delivery of work: Sunday, January 28th, 5-7PM & Monday, January 29th, 10AM-2PM
Exhibition: January 31-February 25, 2018
Opening Reception: February 2, 2018 from 5-8pm
Pick up work: Sunday, February 25th, 5-7PM; Monday, Feb. 26th, 10AM-12PM
